Sunday Worship starts at 10:30 am!
Brandon United Methodist Church is a quaint country chapel in Brandon, Ohio. It sits on Sycamore Road a block west of Route 661. We gather for worship every Sunday morning at 10:30. We also organize various ministries throughout the year to reach out to our neighbors and assist the community. We have a large dining room and kitchen downstairs for receptions and community dinners. We also have an active children's ministry for our younger attendees. The congregation is open-armed and friendly. Chances are you would feel very welcome here.
Our worship is welcoming and casual. There's no need to dress up. The service is easy-to-follow and consists of well-known hymns (played on piano, guitar, or video), prayer, scripture reading, and a short message. Occasionally we'll add a special music that fits the day's theme, led by a member of the congregation.
Coffee and treats are served prior to worship, and folks greet each other and catch up on the latest. Worship begins at 10:30am and typically lasts about 40 minutes. Oftentimes some of us venture out for dinner at at one of the local restaurants (maybe Watts in Utica, or somewhere in Mount Vernon.) You are welcome to join us!

Pastor Kevin
Kevin Bell of Centerburg has been leading our worship each week since June 2025. He has been appointed as a Local Licensed Pastor to serve both Brandon UMC and Lock Federated Church on a part-time basis. His preaching style is relaxed, relatable, and uplifting. He cherishes the energy and laughter of the the kids. He sometimes plays guitar to help lead music during our worship. He is often accompanied by his wife Sandy and their two dogs, Colby and Gibson.
Kevin says, "Small rural churches often have a hard time finding and retaining a pastor, and that breaks my heart. These types of churches hold a special place in my heart, and these two congregations are simply wonderful! I felt right at home the first time I walked through their doors. I enjoy leading them in worship, and together we're learning how to be better disciples of Jesus Christ."
We share a Facebook account with our sister church Lock Federated Church. Watch for the latest posts on upcoming events, photos of recent events, and special news bulletins. We also sometimes livestream or post videos of Pastor Kevin's sermons there.
