Today was Children’s Church. We made “tomb biscuits”! Using the biscuits that come in a tube, we flattened them out. In the center, we placed a marshmallow rolled in a cinnamon and sugar mixture. The biscuit was then wrapped around the marshmallow. These were baked, and once out of the oven and opened, lo and behold the marshmallow had disappeared! This is a visual activity of Jesus’ body placed in the tomb, and when the tomb was opened, His body was gone! He arose!!!! This is a tradition that we do every year! The kids love it!
Our lesson was about Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, and Easter:
Our church has a card ministry, we regularly send cards to our friends and family who are unable to attend Sunday services. Everyone in church signs these cards. This morning the kids signed all 24 Easter cards and also colored bookmarks to enclose in the cards!!!
It was a busy morning!! These kiddos did great, they are so special!!!
Thank you Luann Noble McCauley, Bonnie Beeman and Melissa Lord Shaw for all you do for our kids!!!!
